Financial Awareness Workshop conducted by Finance Club Nidhi on “ Currency Derivative & Spot market” by By Mr.Sajad Shajahan – Assistant Vice President, India Infoline Ltd

Finance Club Nidhi conducted a financial awareness workshop on“Currency Derivative & Spot market” by Mr.Sajad Shajahan- Assistant Vice President of India Infoline Ltd., on 9 th April 2013- Tuesday afternoon from 1.30 PM to 4 PM at seminar hall of the institute as planned in the club activity calender given to the director for the academic semester February –March 2013. . All MBA participants both II and IV (in the presence of faculty members) actively participated in the workshop on the club activity day to learn about more practical applications in the derivative market. Workshop constituted by Mr.Sajad and other two executive members of India Infoline Ltd. taught the participants the following aspects:- 1. Advantages of availing IIFL financial products and services via NSE Platform. 2. Derivative trading practical aspects – Price discovery, Hedging, Arbitration etc based on commodity future products- Black pepper and paddy. 3. Currency futures transaction effectiveness – USD/INR currency price locking, inflation effects and risk management. 4. ETF Gold pricing 5. NSE-Nifty Index- Listing criteria using market price and liquidity as base. 6. Research activities of IIFL- by providing raw updated financial datas (Till March 2013) of more than 50 corporates. 7. Importance of demat account and practical use of it in the derivative markets. 8. Role of clearing houses etc.,
