Research and Publishing Ethics
At TKMIJRM, our editors uphold the highest standards of research and publication ethics. We adhere to internationally recognized guidelines, including those of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), and maintain comprehensive internal policies to ensure the integrity, originality, and transparency of all the published content.
- All manuscripts submitted to TKMIJRM must be original and not previously published in any form, including in journals, books, or online platforms. Submissions derived from preprints, conference proceedings, or other published works must be explicitly declared at the time of submission. The editorial team may use similarity-checking tools such as Ithenticate to verify originality.
- Manuscripts under consideration by TKMIJRM must not be submitted elsewhere. Authors must ensure that their work is exclusively submitted to the journal until a final decision is communicated.
- Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest, including financial, personal, or professional relationships that could influence their research. Disclosure allows the editorial team to handle submissions appropriately
- By submitting work to TKMIJRM, authors should guarantee that their submission does not infringe any existing copyright. Where research involves detailed information about organizations, companies, or individuals, authors must obtain appropriate permissions and document consent for publication.
- Authors are responsible for conducting research in accordance with national and international ethical standards, relevant disciplinary guidelines, and institutional policies. Research methods must be transparent to allow fair and informed evaluation by editors, reviewers, and readers.
- For studies involving human participants, authors must obtain informed consent, ensuring participants understand the purpose of the research, their rights, data handling procedures, and any potential risks. TKMIJRM reserves the right to reject manuscripts that fail to comply with ethical standards or for which appropriate ethical approval and informed consent cannot be verified.
Editorial Policy on the Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Tools
The TKMIJRM recognizes the growing role of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in academic research and publishing. The journal is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity, transparency, and human scholarship in all stages of the publication process. TKMIJRM Principles on AI Usage:
- Authors and peer reviewers are fully responsible for the originality, accuracy, and integrity of their submissions and evaluations. The use of AI tools does not diminish individual accountability.
- AI tools and technology must be used responsibly and transparently.
- AI tools may support, but must not replace, human intellectual contribution, critical thinking, or scholarly judgment in research design, analysis, interpretation, writing, or peer review.
- The use of generative AI tools for copywriting, including creating, drafting, or generating new textual content, data, analyses, literature reviews, or interpretations, is strictly prohibited.
- Authors may use AI tools only for copy-editing purposes, such as improving grammar, language clarity, formatting, or readability of their own original work. Such use must not alter the intellectual content, arguments, interpretations, or conclusions of the manuscript.
- Authors must submit a declaration disclosing any use of AI tools in manuscript preparation, clearly stating the purpose of such use, and remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of the work.
